Located in Culver City, the Westside Youth Orchestra’s goal is to provide a well-rounded orchestral experience to musically dedicated young musicians between 10 and 19 years of age, and between 6 and 10 years of age for WYO Juniors. Orchestra members learn the art of ensemble playing, sight reading, music theory, performance, and the language of music. Westside Youth Orchestra members prepare for each concert season utilizing the vast library of orchestral literature from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary and Film Score repertoire. Most importantly, our young musicians take pride in their enjoyment of making music together! Concert season performances are at Veterans Memorial Auditorium, Culver City.

Westside Youth Orchestra is proud to have received a 1st Place Gold Award, a Maestro Award, and Most Outstanding Orchestra Group Trophy at the Anaheim Heritage Festivals Youth Orchestra Competition on May 3, 2019. Past awards from 2011 – 2016 have included Silver, Maestro and Most Outstanding Orchestra Group Trophy
